Brand new electrical installation for new canning line for Marstons Brewery
With Burton on Trent renowned for its breweries, Woodward Group was honoured to work on an expansion project that allows the local area to benefit from the success.
We worked alongside other local contractors on the specification and installation of an all-new electrical system for a new canning line at Marston’s brewery. Works undertaken included distribution switchgear, power and data supplies to Krones machinery, heating, LED lighting internal & external, and emergency lighting.

BACKGROUND:
Marstons Brewery is a leading independent brewing and pub retailing and hotel business operator, as well as one Burton on Trent’s best known and longest established companies that flies the flag for the city’s flagship brewing industries. To keep up with sustained demand, Marstons was adding a new canning line to its brewery.
SOLUTION & OUTCOMES:
Woodward Group worked alongside a team of contractors at the construction and development site, coordinating works schedules to ensure timescales were met. Our team installed:
- Distribution switchgear
- Power and data supplies to the Krones machinery
- Heating systems
- Interior and exterior LED lighting
- Emergency lighting
We produced an accompanying Operational and Maintenance Manual, and provided training for the designated operator team.
