We will provide a programme of works where necessary to include flexible working hours and minimise disruption and business risk. This can be bespoke to the client and be spread over a number of years, depending on the type of testing or installation, while still ensuring compliance is satisfied.
As an NICEIC approved contractor with CHAS and Construction Line accreditations, every job we undertake is carried out in accordance with The Electricity at Work Regulations.
Fixed Wire Testing
A Periodic Test Report on all electrical installations is required, as all electrical equipment over time deteriorates from wear and tear, corrosion, excessive electrical loads, aging and environmental influences. Woodward Group provides a bespoke fixed wire testing solution for every client; our focus is on minimising disruption to your business operations during testing.
Fixed Wire Testing not only demonstrates that you are compliant with numerous health and safety regulations but, of increasing importance, it ensures you are compliant with the requirements of most commercial insurers. Many commercial insurers now require evidence of compliance in the form of an up to date Electrical Installation Condition Report completed by a suitably qualified and experienced company.
Portable Appliance Testing
Portable Appliance Testing involves inspecting and testing any movable electrical appliance, varying from office equipment to factory machinery. Health and safety regulations require that electrical appliances are safe and maintained to prevent any harm to people. Equipment manufacturers recommend testing at regular intervals to ensure continual safety. Although this type of testing is not mandatory by law, it does ensure that you are compliant with health and safety regulations, ensuring the safety of your employees and visitors.
Our simple PAT pricing structure is the most competitive in the market. We achieve this by keeping costs down where it matters and passing these savings on to you our customer, ensuring your business comes first.
Thermal Imaging
Thermal Imaging is the process of using a special camera designed to look only for heat by way of infra red (IR) energy waves – potential problems can often be found due to excess heat being released by an electrical system.
Thermal imaging is a forward-thinking method of testing. Being safer and quicker in obtaining results, it also has the advantage of detecting anomalies often invisible to the naked eye; thermography allows corrective action to be taken before costly system failures occur. Knowing that 20% of all fires are triggered by electrical faults, thermal imaging helps by identifying these hazards quickly and before they become an issue and cause irreparable damage.
