Woodward Group has reported a strong first half to 2021, with revenues up 60 percent from the same period last year.
The revenue rise follows a significant number of project and client wins, as well as Woodward Group’s acquisition of Midlands-based Lowthers Electrical Engineers Ltd in January 2021, which bolstered the company’s growing customer base and enhanced its hazardous or potentially explosive area installations (ATEX) service offering.
In response to its growth, Woodward Group, a second-generation family business that provides electrical, fire, security, building and compliance services for commercial and industrial businesses nationwide, has made seven new appointments already this year, including Chris Henderson as purchasing manager, Matt Clarke as business development manager, and Luke Robinson as junior contracts manager.
Aden Woodward, Managing Director of Woodward Group said: “We are thrilled to be signing off the first half of this year with record revenue, and to be well on track to exceed the revenue targets set out at the beginning of the year. The pandemic forced us to take stock and identify key areas for business growth, and the business is thriving following the delivery of a number of successful projects and our acquisition of specialist electrical engineering firm, Lowther’s.
“The expansion of our team underpins our commitment to organic growth, and it’s been a privilege to welcome a number of skilled industry specialists to Woodward Group already this year. Our mission is to offer all our clients an extensive range of bespoke, high-quality services to meet their needs, and our team consistently delivers an outstanding level of commitment and dedication to this. Demand for our services continues to grow, and we expect to maintain this strong momentum throughout the rest of 2021.”
