Woodward Group provided Countryside Properties, the UK’s leading mixed-tenure developer, with its new production facility, which will be the flagship UK HQ for timber frame buildings.

With over 60 years’ experience, Countryside specialises in estate regeneration through building beautiful, welcoming homes and creating strong communities. All its homes are built to the highest possible standards with a focus on energy efficiency and green living.

The company was looking for a contractor that could work closely with their in house team to develop a facility that would suit its production requirements at its Bardon Hill site. With Woodward Group having previously undertaken projects for one of Countryside’s directors, the team knew they could put their trust in us.

Woodward Group worked alongside Distribution Network Operator (DNO) to provide the site with an upgrade, including electrical distribution, power, data network and containment. We also assisted with the upgrade of the onsite transformer and associated infrastructure, ultimately taking the site’s capacity from 1,000KVA to 1,500KVA.

Countryside now has a fully functioning production facility, allowing the company to expand. Phase 2 of the project is also underway and will see their production capability double.
