REQUIREMENT:

The design and installation of a new lighting scheme that would deliver a reduction in energy usage and consumption, and had to be installed within a specified budget and timeframe.

Competitive tender for a one-off contract

BACKGROUND:

Futaba Manufacturing is a first-class automotive engineering and manufacturing business, which is renowned for delivering excellence and efficiency based on state of the art technology. A long-standing client of Woodward Group, the company invited us to submit a tender for the scheme.

SOLUTION & OUTCOMES:

Impressed with our specification, Futaba awarded us the contract and we carried out the recommended lighting design, together with:

• reLUX documentation to illustrate the proposed scheme’s LUX levels to meet with client’s targets
  
• comprehensive project estimate and cost comparisons
  
• details of projected energy consumption and energy saving from the scheme.

The project was completed on budget and ahead of schedule.

Throughout the commissioning phase, the system was achieving double the LUX levels of the previous system. The system continues to deliver a +30% reduction in Futaba’s energy consumption when compared to the original installation.
