We are delighted to announce that Woodward Group has been awarded the contract for the site-wide fire alarm upgrade for Ibstock Brick PLC at its Aldridge site. After years of being let down by their previous service provider, we are excited to step in and deliver a first-class solution that meets their needs.
Our fire & security manager, Steven Bullock, and installation manager, James Yunus, have worked closely with the Aldridge site team to identify existing shortfalls and develop a compliant system design. This collaborative approach ensured that all aspects of the fire alarm system comply fully with BS5839-1-2017 regulations, and meant we were ready for sign-off before the project officially began.
The team has made excellent progress, with our installation team currently working on the first fix installation. We anticipate the project will be completed in the early part of 2025, following a well-deserved break for the team over the Christmas period.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Ibstock Brick for its continued trust and support, and we look forward to completing this important project.
About Ibstock Brick
Ibstock Brick is the UK’s largest brick manufacturer and supplier of clay and brick products. Founded in 1899, and with over 200 years of brickmaking heritage, the company is firmly positioned at the heart of the country’s building landscape.
Woodward Group has proudly partnered with Ibstock Brick for many years. We recently delivered a complete mechanical and electrical factory fit out for the company’s brand new ‘pathfinder’ factory at its Atlas site. Due to the success and efficient development of the new Atlas facility, plus our work across several other Ibstock Brick sites such as Project America, we were subsequently awarded a new project in Nostell, which is part of the Ibstock Futures division.
Working with the Ibstock team is always a pleasure, and we look forward to undertaking more prestigious projects with them in the future.
